Greetings
Dr. Shepherd and professional colleagues!

The interview process for me started off
on a very challenging mode. I originally
had chosen four practitioner scholars who work closely with young children and
families who experience poverty and or homelessness. The above scholars have published important
articles pertaining to poverty, homelessness, risked factors that children and
families experience in the process of such unexpected events, and other
implications that may occur. The purpose
of me requesting these four individual scholars were to have an opportunity to
learn from those pioneers who service men, women, and children in time of
desperate needs.
How did I learn about these four significant
scholars?
In the process of researching
peer-reviewed articles, I came upon this company called, Aspen Institute. The Aspen Institute is where the four
selective interviewees’ work. “The Aspen
Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in
Washington, DC. Its mission is to foster
leadership based on enduring values and to provide a nonpartisan venue for
dealing with critical issues.” I was intrigued
with each practitioner’s bio and learned much about how they can contribute
greatly to my research studies on “School-Aged Children Living in Poverty.”
I have not received a response from the
four chosen interviewees’ and as a result moving forward; I was fortunate to
receive an email message from a longtime associate. What’s that saying? “He may not come when you
want him but he is always on time when you need him!” God sent this practitioner scholar to me at
the nick-of-time! I was also blessed
with the opportunity to interview a woman who was once homeless and is now
currently a registered nurse.
The overall course assessments were very
complex in the beginning; it was not until I decided to read the entire
material package which includes Module 1 thru 8 and found the Student Guide. The student’s guide breaks each phrase down
to simplify the assessment’s outcome. I
am working strategically towards completing this course successfully!
Peace,
love, and prosperity!
God
Bless!
